Liannu Limited Liability Partnership (Liannu LLP), a subsidiary of Pennecon Ltd., has been awarded a number of contracts at the Voisey’s Bay Mine site in Labrador. The primary work scopes include the mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation outfitting of the recently constructed Paste Plant and Booster Station buildings, as well as, erection of structural steel & installation of architectural components for additional pump houses, Flush house and Transfer stations for the Vale underground mine expansion project in Voisey’s Bay.
Pennecon / Liannu is requesting applications for interested and qualified candidates in the following position:
Role: Surveyor
Location: Voisey’s Bay, NL
The ideal applicant for this position will possess the following:
- Graduate of Geomatics/Surveying Engineering Technology (Co-op) program.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in dimensional control surveying for the oil & gas, manufacture and/or mining industries.
- Experience in data collection using Robotic Total Station Surveying instruments, Electro-optical survey equipment, and optical alignment equipment.
- Experience in the use of 3D Laser Scanning equipment and Processing using specialized software.
- Extensive experience with 3-Dimensional calculations using dimensional control specific software and AutoCAD, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with industry standard drawings and documentation.
- Experience with verification of pipe route/structural design and/or as-built condition.
- Capable of working independently, without an assistant (Due to use of Robotic Equipment).
- Capable of maintaining BST training and medical certification for offshore travel.
- Must hold a valid drivers license.
Project Information:
- Scheduled work rotation: two weeks on, two weeks off.
- Flights will be provided by the Company.
- Anticipated duration: 12 months
