Liannu Limited Liability Partnership (Liannu LLP), a subsidiary of Pennecon Ltd., has been awarded a number of contracts at the Voisey’s Bay Mine site in Labrador. The primary work scopes include the mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation outfitting of the recently constructed Paste Plant and Booster Station buildings, as well as, erection of structural steel & installation of architectural components for additional pump houses, Flush house and Transfer stations for the Vale underground mine expansion project in Voisey’s Bay.

Role: Electrical Quality Control Coordinator

Location: Voisey’s Bay

The Electrical Quality Control Coordinator will be responsible to:

  • Perform checks on products/processes to ensure they meet national and international quality standards;
  • Maintain and improve Quality Management Systems;
  • Monitor and report client/customer feedback to managers;
  • Monitor, trend, evaluate and report to management on non-conformances, corrective & preventative actions;
  • Review and update quality control and assurance policies;
  • Report on changes in standards (internally and externally initiated) and on performance against standards.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A diploma in a relevant field and will have at least five (5) years of related work experience in a project based environment, or an acceptable combination of education and experience;
  • The requirement to work in the field and be responsible to demonstrate superior safety behaviours in the execution of the work and support the Company’s safety, quality and environment programs;
  • Be a goal-orientated individual who supports the Company’s safety and quality program;
  • Excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills;
  • Ability to solve problems and execute work within deadline;
  • Has a strong work ethic, works within a team environment; and
  • Is proficient with the use of computers.

Project Information:

  • Scheduled work rotation: two weeks on, two weeks off.
  • Flights will be provided by the Company.
  • Anticipated duration: 8 months
