Pennecon Heavy Civil is growing!  We have recently been awarded a general contract with Manitoba Hydro to upgrade their Pointe du Bois Hydro Facility. This construction work will run for about 10 months and consist of replacing older generators in the powerhouse. We are looking for diligent and responsible employees in the following areas:

Role: Document Controller
Location: Pointe du Bois, Manitoba

Reporting to the Site Project Manager, with a functional reporting relationship to the quality team, this position provides advice and guidance to employees and supervisors working at the project site.

Your primary accountabilities would include:

 

·        Overall organization, management and maintenance of all company documents;

·        Administration of records management program as per defined company policies;

·        Ensuring that all project documentation is appropriately managed and submitted as per client requirements;

·        Facilitation of document review processes and follow up with key project employees to ensure reviews are completed within the allotted time frame;

·        Monitor incoming documents to ensure free of errors and issues;

·        Assist management with the maintenance of certification, reports, and quality documentation

 

You will bring to the position the following qualifications:

 

·        Diploma in Office Administration or Records Management;

·        Past experience working with a construction environment;

·        Proficient with using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Aconex, and other document control software;

·        Must be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment;

·        Excellent communication and writing skills;

·        Accuracy – able to note the small details and ensure all documents are without error or issue

 

Travel away from home will be required.  Preferred candidates will be open to travel and construction project work and be on a defined rotation work schedule.  Competitive living out allowance will be provided.
