Pennecon Industrial is currently completing Mechanical and Electrical Installations in Labrador City and we are seeking individuals who are qualified and interested in joining our team in the role of:
Role: Safety Advisor
Location: Labrador City, NL
Reporting to our Project Management team, with a functional reporting relationship to the divisional Safety Manager, this position provides advice and guidance to employees, supervisors and subcontractors working at the project site, with respect to corporate and client safety policies, practices, procedures, and legislative requirements.
Your primary accountabilities would include:
- Supporting the Company’s safety, quality and environmental programs;
- Timely investigation of incidents, recommendation of appropriate corrective action;
- Encouraging and promoting positive and effective employee relations;
- Coaching employees and supervisors;
- Completion of all necessary safety documentation;
- Be an active and engaged safety participant in the field;
- Delivery of safety orientation and completion of necessary documentation.
The successful candidate will bring:
- Relevant post-secondary education with a minimum of five (5) years of field experience;
- Experience with extensive earthwork and concrete based activity;
- They will be a leader in their field and passionate about the work they do;
- Have excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills and have the ability to multitask and execute work within deadlines;
- Strong work ethic, work well unsupervised as well as within a team environment and are proficient in the use of all current MS Office programs
This position will be located in Labrador City and preferable work a Monday - Friday schedule out of the local area.
