Pennecon Heavy Civil has been awarded the Grizzly Bear Creek Wind Farm Project, located close to the town of Vermillion, AB. Pennecon’s scope of work will include construction of various Project components including tower erection, access road and turbine pad construction, public road upgrades, concrete foundation construction, and collection system installation.
As we ramp up with this project, we are seeking motivated and talented individuals who possess the technical skills required to contribute to a heavy civil project team.
Role: Labourer, Concrete
Location: Vermillion, AB
This position requires skilled Labourers for construction of concrete turbine foundations. Work scope with include but not limited to foundation preparation, concrete placement & finishing, curing & patching, assisting with anchor bolt and formwork installation and general site servicing
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible to place & finish concrete to design slopes and grades
- Physical ability to complete manual labour duties associated with concrete placement
- Ability to follow instructions
- Adhere to all workplace safety policies, regulations and compliance legislation
- Possess a good work ethic, a positive attitude and the ability to work in a team
The Ideal Applicant for this position will possess the following:
Required Education and Experience
- 2-3 years experience placing and finishing concrete foundations, using concrete vibrators/ finishing tools and working with concrete pump trucks
- Able to make good decisions working in fast paced environment
- Experience using site utility equipment such as generators, pumps, pressure washers etc
