Pennecon Heavy Civil has been awarded the Grizzly Bear Creek Wind Farm Project, located close to the town of Vermillion, AB. Pennecon’ s role will consist of a complete design-build and will involve construction of various Project components including tower erection, civil infrastructure, substations and other electrical components, etc.
As we ramp up with this project, we are seeking motivated and talented individuals who possess the technical skills required to contribute to a heavy civil project team.
Position: Environmental Technician
Location: Vermillion, AB
The Environmental Technician will be responsible for:
- Management and oversight of the project environmental management system;
- Compile all information indicated as the Contractor responsibility in the EPC Compliance Matrix;
- Maintenance, Inspection, Reporting and Mapping of all installed BMPs;
- Conducting frequent inspections and providing a weekly report documenting compliance to the Project Environmental Requirements, assessing identified weaknesses, and providing corrective action recommendations;
- Investigating and reporting spills.
The successful candidate will have a degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or an Environmental Engineering Diploma with five (5) years of environmental experience related to construction.
The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal, communication, organization and computer skills. You are an effective team player with a positive attitude, and you will support the Company’s safety, quality and environment programs.
