Our Pennecon Heavy Civil team is currently accepting applications for work on the Quartz Creek Bridge project outside of Golden, BC. 

       Health, Safety & Environment Advisor 

Reporting to the HSEQ Manager, this position provides advice and guidance to employees, supervisors and subcontractors working at the project site, with respect to corporate and client safety policies, practices, procedures, and legislative requirements.

Your accountabilities include: supporting the Company’s safety, quality and environmental programs, timely investigation of incidents, recommendation of appropriate corrective action, encouraging and promoting positive and effective employee relations, coaching employees and supervisors, delivery of safety orientation and completion of necessary documentation.

The successful candidate is a high-energy, goal oriented individual with relevant post-secondary education in the field of safety with minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of field experience. You must be a leader in your field and passionate about the work you do. The successful candidate will have excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills and have the ability to multitask and execute work within deadlines.  They will also have a strong work ethic, work well unsupervised as well as within a team environment and are proficient in the use of computers. Experience working in an Industrial environment where responsiveness and ability to work and adapt to varying environments will be critical in this role. 

You will be required to work in the field and be responsible to demonstrate superior safety behaviours in the execution of the work and support the Company’s safety, quality and environment programs.
