Liannu Limited Liability Partnership (Liannu LLP), a subsidiary of Pennecon Ltd. currently has an opportunity at Liannu Limited Liability Partnership (Liannu LLP), a subsidiary of Pennecon Ltd., has been awarded a number of contracts at the Voisey’s Bay Mine site in Labrador, for the balance of 2021. The primary work scopes involve installing the mechanical, piping and electrical outfitting of the recently constructed Powerhouse and Booster Station buildings, as well as, performing the annual capital and maintenance program for the Voisey’s Bay site.

Role: Electrical Field Engineer

Location: Voisey's Bay, NL

Reporting to the Project Engineer, the Electrical Field Engineer/Project Coordinator will provide general engineering technical support, coordination, and assist with tracking & reporting on the project.  This individual will have the responsibility to assist with all project coordination activities, assisting the project Quality Manager as required in project execution, and assist the Project Managers/Engineers as required in project development and execution.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 3-5 years of relevant experience as a Field Engineer or equivalent role.  The successful candidate is passionate about the work they do and has excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and computer skills; with a commitment to safe work practices and ISO 9001:2015 QA/QC processes.  They are an effective team player with a positive attitude.  Experience working in an Industrial environment where responsiveness and ability to work and adapt to varying environments will be critical in this role. 

Previous experience working in an Industrial environment will be an important consideration. All candidates will be required to complete a mandatory criminal background check, as well as, successfully complete a medical and alcohol and drug test, before starting work on the site. You will be required to work in a construction environment and demonstrate superior safety behaviours in the execution of the work and support the Company’s safety, quality and environment programs. 

  • Scheduled work rotation: two weeks on, two weeks off.
  • Flights will be provided by the Company.
